Not to present myself as "calling out SD", because I like Far Behind, but I found this interesting...

They kind of did the same with 'Dead Flowes' by the Rolling Stones...hear for yourself!

Didn't know this specific Descendents song....really like it!!!!

wow, i see your point about that song by the Decendents. its just like "Dead Flowers" is basically ball and chain too. So there are a lot of striking similarities. It happens to me too. I will be sitting alone and playing my guitar trying to write songs and I will get a riff in my head sometimes and it just gets in my head because ive heard it before. Mike Ness just made it his and made the song his.

I prefer Far Behind, even though they're basically the same. They just borrowed an idea, same as every blues guitarist.

I think it was the anti-flag song "safe tonight" on the Die for your goverment album. I could be wrong though, I haven't listen to them in a long long long time. I do know that anti-flag is one of the worst, annoying, fence walking, hypocrite bands...enjoy.

The Descendents borrowed that melody from an old Sunnyland Slim song. So the Descendents stole it from some old blues guy, why couldn't SD borrowed it from this same original source? End of discussion.
